Fjord Cruise from Bergen to Rosendal

Let us take you through some of western Norway’s most striking scenery, with grand mountains rising from the fjords and imposing waterfalls. This roundtrip tour to Rosendal is available all year.

The express cruiser is the easiest and fastest way to get from Bergen to the village of Rosendal. This is where you’ll find some of the region’s star attractions: dazzling Hardangerfjord and Folgefonna National Park with the country’s third-largest glacier.

You’ll also see Barony Rosendal, with roots in the 1600s, Scandinavia’s smallest castle in an idyllic setting with lovely, fragrant gardens as well as cafes and a restaurant. The modern, comfortable boats have sundecks and kiosks offering refreshments, including beer and wine.

The tour starts with a fjord cruise from Bergen to Rosendal. It takes around two hours each way, and you have around 3 1/2 hours in Rosendal to explore the pretty village and its surroundings. From May to August the Barony is open and you can participate on a guided tour at the mansion and garden. It’s also possible to have lunch in the Barony’s Garden Cafe. The Barony is a nice 1.5-km walk from the quay. If you need a taxi, the crew onboard can book one for you.
