Norway’s most popular day tour goes all year round and includes a fjord cruise and journeys on Europe’s top-rated railways, Flåm Railway and Bergen Railway.
This roundtrip tour from Bergen to UNESCO World Heritage site Nærøyfjorden is legendary, and it will take you through some of the most beautiful scenery in fjord Norway.
At Bergen Railway Station, the tour starts with the scenic Bergen Railway to Voss. At the railway station in Voss, you find the bus to Gudvangen, and in the summer months, the bus runs through Stalheimskleiva, the 1.5-km road section that winds down Nærøydalen from Stalheim.

Well ahead in Gudvangen you board the electric ship “Future of the Fjords” to Flåm. The Nærøyfjord is one of the narrowest fjords in the world and the cruise to Flåm takes about two hours.
The boat is battery operated and very comfortable with large windows and a good patio. In 2005, the fjord was incorporated on the UNESCO World Heritage list together with the Geirangerfjord. Nærøyfjorden is surrounded by high mountains and is a beautiful sight both in summer and winter.
Flåm is a charming village surrounded by precipitous mountainsides, rumbling waterfalls, and narrow valleys. Here we can have lunch, visit the Flåm Railway Museum or just wander around in the busy harbor. The trip continues with the Flåm Railway which is one of the world’s steepest railways.
The 20-km train journey from Flåm to Myrdal gives you a panoramic view of some of the wildest and most magnificent of Norwegian mountain nature, including the famous Kjosfossen Waterfall. At Myrdal station, a train changes to the Bergen Line which takes you back to Bergen and the tour ends at Bergen Railway Station.
