Walk Behind Steinsdalsfossen & Taste a Waterfall

Our first highlight is Steinsdalsfossen, where a pathway takes you right behind the cascading water. Hear the roar, feel the refreshing mist and admire the waterfall from a completely different perspective.

Here, we add an unforgettable twist: with a cup in hand, taste fresh water from a Norwegian waterfall. It's a fun, authentic moment that makes for a great photo and a story to bring home.

Travel Along the Hardangerfjord

Continue through the beautiful Hardanger region, passing steep mountains, fruit orchards, traditional farms and picturesque fjord villages such as Norheimsund and Øystese. Enjoy views of the magnificent Hardangerfjord, Norway's second-longest fjord, as the scenery unfolds along the way.

Discover Vøringsfossen & the Sky Bridge

Prepare for one of the day's most dramatic sights: Vøringsfossen. Watch the powerful waterfall plunge 182 metres into the breathtaking Måbødalen valley below.

The highlight here is the Vøringsfossen Sky Bridge, a remarkable 47-metre staircase bridge with 99 steps stretching across the gorge. Weather and conditions permitting, walk across the bridge for a thrilling view of the surrounding cliffs and rushing water. Explore the viewpoints, look deep into the valley and capture unforgettable photos of this extraordinary landscape.

Enjoy Free Time in Eidfjord

Stop in the idyllic village of Eidfjord, nestled between the mountains and the Hardangerfjord. Enjoy approximately one hour of free time to have lunch at a local café or restaurant, stroll along the waterfront, explore the village or simply relax and soak up the fjord views.

Experience Skjervsfossen

Our final waterfall stop is Skjervsfossen, a beautiful twin waterfall cascading down the mountainside. Take in the scenery, discover the viewpoints and enjoy one last chance for memorable photos before heading back towards Bergen.

More Than a Scenic Drive

Throughout the journey, your local guide shares stories about Hardanger's landscapes, communities, history and traditions. With plenty of opportunities to step outside, explore and experience the surroundings, this is much more than sightseeing from a bus window.

Walk behind a waterfall. Cross a dramatic sky bridge. Discover fjord villages. And taste a Norwegian waterfall for yourself.

Return to Bergen with incredible photos and memories of one of Norway's most beautiful regions.

Steinsdalsfossen Waterfall

Steinsdalsfossen is one of the most popular waterfalls in Norway.

The river Fosselvi drops down 48 meters and is special because you can walk behind the water veil. The flood of the river is quite consistent and is being fed by water from a serie of lakes from which Myklavatnet. Steinsdalfossen was already popular a hundred years ago, at the time of the emperor of Germany, Wilhelm II. He visited Steinsdalsfossen every year, until world war II began. Actually the waterfall is not that old: at the 17th century the river flowed west of Steinsdalsfossen. In 1699 “Øvsthus farm suffered great damage when the river flooded its banks”. The old river channel was closed off, perhaps as a result of great amounts of snow or an avalanche, and the water ran instead off the cliff.

Hardangerfjord

The Hardangerfjord is the fourth longest fjord in the world, and the second longest in Norway.
